About This Blog and Me

My name is Catherine.  I don't consider myself to be an athletic person and I don't like to go to the gym...anymore.  On a beautiful day I can't stand to be inside, which explains why I love to go hiking.  It's free (aside from all the gear I get tempted into buying), it's outside and it's something I can do by myself or with my family.  My family and I have hiked occasionally over the past ten years, but it was nothing I would call a habit.  However, that's all about to change.  I'm making hiking my new past-time and, as the weather gets cooler, I plan to spend more time in the Missouri wilderness and less time in suburbia.

So, I thought I'd start this blog for a few reasons.  1. To document my hiking adventures so I don't forget them.  2. To share some hiking tidbits with anyone else interested in exploring Missouri trails.  and 3. Because I just like to blog.  :)

And now, for some pictures of past hiking adventures.
